What If You Felt Accepted For All Of Who You Are?

What a world it would be if we all felt safe to be all of who we are.

I know it’s hard to show all sides of yourself when there’s so much risk of judgment, misunderstanding and even rejection. I also know that you deserve to be yourself, in your beautiful entirety. When you step into your truth, those who are not meant to be at your side will fall away. The process may be sad, even painful, for everyone involved. Necessary change often means upheaval and a shift of everything you thought you knew. I’m not going to lie, it can be a difficult transition.

The payoff is worth it. When you are fully authentic and unapologetically embody all of who you are, you attract your people – the people who are meant to be with you. Getting there requires that you trust both your own courage and the support of the universe to provide what you need. Any step into the unknown is an act of bravery – especially when so many others are not there yet. People who are afraid to do the same will try to dissuade you, tell you that you’re foolish, crazy, whatever it takes to get you to stand down. Don’t fall for this mentality. You can rise above it.

In order to build a world where eventually everyone can express themselves most freely, some of us will have to step into our power first. Our authenticity inspires those around us to do the same. We show them that they are also safe, that as long as we support each other, no one can touch us. In every transformation, someone has to light the way. Maybe in your circle, your neighborhood, your corner of the world, it will be you.

We don’t know if we can be accepted as all of ourselves until we show all of ourselves. It would be easier the other way around, but it just doesn’t work that way. It takes a deep breath and a step forward, then another, on and on until you are confident in the totality of your power. This takes time, and great strength. I believe that you have it in you. I believe that you deserve to feel safe. I believe that you shouldn’t have to play it small.

It is your birthright to live as yourself; unfiltered, undiminished, and full of your unique light. I want that for you. I want it for all of us. Let’s support each other and step into our courage. Sending you hugs, strength, and as always, love.
