Are you someone who is always looking for external validation? You ask everyone’s opinion on everything you do, even when you already know how you feel about it. You need constant reassurance or help with every deliberation that comes along. Sometimes you literally feel unable to make any decisions without input from others.
If this is you, then you are disconnected from your inner compass. Your intuition, your innate inner wisdom, is always present. It’s just that many of us have forgotten how to listen to and understand it. This is a common problem in our world, where we are so inundated with external stimuli. It’s difficult to learn to go inwards when there is so much chaos and noise happening around us.
You’ve lost the ability to decipher your body’s wisdom. You don’t trust yourself, so you reach out to anyone and everyone for advice. This is a redirection signal, a sign that it’s time to reacquaint yourself with who you are and what you want. You can’t ask those outside of yourself to tell you what your desires and dreams might be. No one else can know. Deep down inside, you do have the answers. You’ve just strayed from yourself and you have to find your way back.
I have been where you are now. I had such a deep disconnect from my body and intuition that I didn’t even understand where I physically felt my emotions. It took me many years to realize this and begin working my way back to myself. Trust me, there is nothing more rewarding than doing the work and understanding what it is to know and love yourself after a lifetime of the opposite. It’s the most gratifying transformation I’ve ever made.
You can heal your relationship to your intuition and your body. Start small. Practice with little decisions. Before you go to someone else for advice, sit with yourself and see if you can feel what your body is telling you first. Start listening to yourself. When you begin making choices based on your own inner wisdom and then realize that they are the correct choices for you, you will build that trust up. Baby steps. You’ve got this. Sending you love.
